46-05. SOWERS, LEACH, HAWS. Looking for any info the the SOWERS family in Baltimore and Anne Arundel Counties, particularly pre-1820. Especially interested in Albright SOWERS who, after marriage in Baltimore in 1808, seems to completely disappear until one of his sons (Washington) shows up in Greene Co. PA. I am trying to find info that may connect him as a brother to William SOWERS (also m. in 1808 in Anne Arundel Co. and does end up in Greene Co. PA in 1830). Also looking for possible connection to an Edward SOWERS who may be the father of both or even a step-brother. Edward was first in Baltimore Co. and later in Anne Arundel Co. Living next to William in 1810. Am also aware of a Conrad SOWERS who may possibly be another brother, a John SOWERS who could possibly be a father to all, and a Samuel SOWERS who may be the original immigrant (all of Baltimore Co.). Conrad and William are veterans of the War of 1812. Albright m. Elizabeth LEACH, William m. Nelly HAWS, and Edward’s second m. was to Nancy LEACH. Edward moved his family to Ohio by 1830 where most of them remained. Any info greatly appreciated. Amanda SOWERS, 2535 Homehurst Ave. Pittsburgh PA 15234, e-mail email@example.com
